Techstars Startup Weekend is the best place to learn how to build a startup and connect with your community; a melting pot of the area’s most creative thinkers, builders and implementers. It’s a 3-day long sprint to launch new products and services that solve real-world problems.
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) is the world’s largest aerospace technical society. With nearly 30,000 individual members from 85 countries, and 95 corporate members, AIAA brings together industry, academia, and government to advance engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. ABOUT TECHSTARS STARTUP WEEEKEND

Techstars Startup Weekends are 54-hour events designed to provide superior experiential education for technical and non-technical entrepreneurs. Beginning with Tuesday night pitches (in this edition) and continuing through brainstorming, business plan development, and basic prototype creation, Techstars Startup Weekend will culminate on Thursday afternoon demos and presentations. Participants create working startups during the event and are able to collaborate with like-minded individuals outside of their daily networks. All teams hear talks by industry leaders and receive valuable feedback from local entrepreneurs. The program is centered around action, innovation, and education.
Whether you are looking for feedback on an idea, a co-founder, specific skill sets, or a team to help you execute, Techstars Startup Weekends are the perfect environment in which to test your idea and take the first steps towards launching your own startup.

What's the Twist?

The next Startup Weekend is focusing on SPACE. That means you’ll be joining like-minded designers, techies and business people in creating an organization aimed at commercializing space/expanding the space economy. This is a broad topic that could include everything from fixing orbital debris (space traffic management) to outposts on the moon to asteroid mining. It might be targeting a technology gap, consumer services, or something else entirely. The purpose is up to you. What we provide is a fun, high-energy environment where you can learn through doing, with all the support you’ll need to launch a brand new space-industry enterprise.
This event is co-located with the IAC Conference 21-25 October 2019.
